What is the Customer Management Option all about?

If your shop works on equipment other than your own, you need the Customer Management module to help you control, track and report on the work your shop performs for your fleet customers.

Customer Management is an option for Dossier Fleet Maintenance Software, Platinum Edition. It allows you to produce quotes and invoices for your customers. Quotes are held open as unapproved documents until your customer approves them, at which time, with a simple click of your mouse, they are converted into open, active repair orders. You can add to the quote if additional work over and above the original quote is necessary. When the work is completed and you close the repair order, you can produce an invoice and either print, fax, or e-mail it to your customer. Plus, Dossier tracks unpaid customer invoices to help you stay on top of receivables.

Each customer has their own account file that includes contact and billing information. You can set up each customer account with its own unique billable labor rate, parts markup or discount and billing terms that are used by the system to produce their quotes, repair orders and invoices.

You won‘t forget which quotes remain unapproved or invoices that are unpaid as they are displayed for you on the Daily Reminder. You can produce reports on unapproved or approved quotes, and unpaid or paid invoices to help you manage your accounts. In addition, you will be able to produce many reports for your customers such as: equipment due or overdue for PM service, individual unit repair and cost histories, complete fleet reports, and many more as an value added service to help you attract and retain customers.
